Mirja Pitkäärt is an Estonian designer based in Paris.
She graduated from the MA Fashion Artefact course at the London College of Fashion in 2014 after studying leather design at the Estonian Academy of Arts and textile design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
She has worked in Berlin, London and Paris for brands including Anja Bruhn, Fleet Ilya, Ally Capellino and Louis Vuitton on the design, development and production of high-end leather goods.
In 2014 she received the Accessories Collection of the Year award from the International Talent Support competition in Trieste, Italy.
Mirja is interested in accessories that sit between product and fashion design, using traditional as well as modern methods of manufacturing.
